Illumi-Naughtie Occult Burlesque

The Illumi-Naughtie Occult Burlesque creates one-of-a-kind events that explore the mysterious world of the occult, while educating and titillating audiences.

We present cabaret, burlesque, drag, flow arts, and bellydance, incorporating occult traditions and history, folklore, mythology, and initiatory rites to guide audiences to different corners of the occult universe, raising ecstatic energy through the power and passion of our performers.

Founded by head hottie, Vivian Meretrix, based on her many years of experience as an ordained priestess and lodge master of an esoteric order, the Illumi-Naughtie existed in earlier forms, but officially began its journey as a sold-out show at the Newport Theater in October of 2023. Since then we have produced two to three shows a year, including Rites of Spring, Divine Devils, Hermetica, Maypole Madness and more! Our upcoming shows are the Occult Cabaret on Saturday, October 11th and Krampusnacht on Friday, December 5th.

The Illumi-Naughtie shows are emceed by Frater Fabulosa, aka Dr. Jason Winslade, scholar of esotericism, initiated magickal practitioner, musician, and performer, and co-host of the podcast Pop Occulture with Lilith Dorsey and Jason Winslade. He is also the founder and owner of Ritual Rhythms Chicago, LLC and Ritual Rhythms Creative Studio.
